Roy Rohatgi retired as Worldwide Partner at Arthur Andersen’s London office in the mid-nineties after nearly 25 years with the firm. He spent several years in Mumbai, where he established and managed the Indian member firm of Arthur Andersen. A Visiting Professor in international taxation at various universities, he is also the author of “Basic International Taxation.” Roy is the settlor and managing trustee of the Foundation for International Taxation, which he founded in 2006 to oversee the annual conference he envisioned and has run since 1995. Although he has retired as Conference Director, he continues to serve as a Trustee of the Foundation.

Mr. T.P. Ostwal is a qualified Chartered Accountant since 1978 and is a Senior Partner at T.P. Ostwal and Associates LLP. He played a key role in establishing Transfer Pricing Regulations in India and is a member of the UN’s sub-committee on Transfer Pricing for Developing Countries. Additionally, he is a professor at Vienna University, teaching International Tax for LLM studies, and has been recognized as 11th of the top 50 Tax Professionals globally by a UK Business Magazine. Mr. Ostwal also serves as an Independent Director on the boards of several companies.

With over four decades of experience in Indirect Taxes and Management, Sachin Menon most recently served as the Senior Partner & Country Head of Indirect Tax at KPMG. Throughout his career, he has held pivotal leadership positions in renowned organisations, including non-Executive Director on the KPMG India Board of Directors, Chief Operating Officer (Tax) at KPMG India, Partner and Head of Indirect Taxes for the Western Region at PwC India, and Partner and Head of Indirect Taxes at EY.
A passionate advocate for policy reform, he has played a key role in shaping India’s indirect tax landscape. Serving as Chairman of the GST Committee at FICCI (2017-2024) and Co-Chair of the VAT Committee at CII (2005-2007), he represented industry interests before key governmental bodies, including the Ministry of Finance, CBIC and the GST Council. His contributions as an expert advisor to Joint Parliamentary Committees (JPC) appointed by the Indian Parliament on tax policy and as a consultant to international organisations like the World Bank on the “Ease of Doing Business Ranking Survey”underscores his commitment to advancing tax reform agendas.
Recognitions such as being named among the ‘Top Five Most Admired Indirect Tax Advisors in Asia-Pacific In 2021, among the ‘’Top Ten Indirect Tax Advisors in Asia-Pacific In 2012, and featuring in the list of ‘Leading Indirect Tax Advisers in India’’ by the International Tax Review (ITR) from 2006-2024 highlight his dedication to excellence in the field. As a Trustee of the Foundation for International Taxation, he continues to contribute actively to the tax community.

Dr. Sunil Moti Lala is a practising Advocate and qualified Chartered Accountant, who also holds a Ph.D. degree from Mumbai University for his Thesis on “International Tax and Transfer Pricing w.r.t. BEPS, GAAR and other critical issues in the global arena”. With 30 years of experience in the field of Taxation, he practices as a Tax Counsel at SML Tax Chamber. Sunil has held leadership roles in PWC and KPMG and was a Founder Partner of M/s Advaita Legal, a tax law firm. He has been recognized as a Tax Controversy Leader / Highly Regarded in India for the last 10 consecutive years by the International Tax Review in their World Tax Rankings. He actively argues before the Hon’ble High Courts, Tribunals and AAR across the country and advises MNC’s in complex cases. He is part of the Managing Committee of the ITAT Bar Association at Mumbai. He has contributed extensively to various professional publications and financial newspapers. He has also authored a book titled “Compendium of Transfer Pricing and International Tax Rulings”.
